I was on some ice and accidentaly spun on of the wheels the trans ****** and i let off. No problems. I was then at a stop and had to pass this guy in order to make the off ramp so i buzzed it through the gears and she shifted flawless, no slipps nothin. Well as I got back on, I punched it at 60mph on an incline and the thing roared into gear and when it engaged it seemed to make a slight slip or rev and then no prob. Well I was like oh no you didnt, and tried a 60mph drop again and she didnt slip at all, I checked my fluid and it was clear(pink no residue). I guess it smelled a little burnt or maybe it just was the smell of the **** cause it smelled the same as when the trans was new. I had this so called refined trans installed at 66,000 and now I have 73,412 on it. What is the deal, is she goin? Is my trans a lemon, if it is what can i do if it is going to go? I'm so mad right now and starting to wonder if 2nd gen SHO's have any quality what so ever. My dad's gen 3 is a dream and Im thinkin about selling mine and getting a V8. The thing that sucks is that even if I bring the car in and demand a new trans the service manager will use the "You hard drove it" bull**** and will make me pay for it. I am up in arm. Please tell me my trans isnt goin.

update: So far the trans has been fine and shifts fast and firm and I did a full throttle from 60mph and she took off like all **** without slips so shes fine. Thinks for the comforting posts.

You call this a performance trans??...where did you get it, cauz when I talked to you at dominicks you said that it was the original trans, and the only thing you did to it, is bring it in for a recall, and that recall was for just the pan( I belive), also you installed this so called performance trans
