I recently bought a hypertech chip for my 93 MTX and was told it was to be plugged into the computer service port. Having never owned a vehicle of this era before ( plenty older and a few newer) I am having a hard time locating this port. My first instinct was to look where the OBD II port is on newer vehicles, I then looked around in the engine compartment, then behind the glove box by the pcm itself. I know I have to be missing it somewhere but I am at my end of digging for this thing. Any help on where to look would be appreciated.

The service port is on the PCM. Look for a sticker that is folded over one side of it. That sticker needs to be peeled off to reveal the port.

Don't bother though. Hypertech chips don't do anything. Hope you didn't pay much for it. To actually tune a SHO you will need a Quarterhorse or a Tweecer.

If you drop the glove box you can access he port. For simple items, such as raising the rev limiter or changing the secondary opening rpm the chip works fine. Past that it is difficult. ShoSource also offers LPM tuning (or they did). I spent some time dynoing my SHO and collecting A/F numbers to fine tune my LPM. I was never able to get things quite where I wanted. A Tweecer or Quarterhorse allow for real time data and changes. they are the most effective way to tune the SHO.

Although, without substantial mods a tune is not going to get you a lot of performance increase.
