Only you can determine why your pedal is sticking. Do some examination to find the cause. Rotate the throttle shaft with your hand to see if the throttle itself is sticking. Check the cable for resistence. With the cable disconnected at the throttle shaft, check the gas pedal for free motion. Another possibility is that the pedal catches on the floor mat. You'll have to find out why the pedal/cable/throttle is sticking with your own eyes and hands, but these are a few ways to find out what the problem is. And that IS a problem.
