got out of my car last night and went to shut the door and there was smoke billiowing out from under the hood, damn it. lost alot of coolent in this process.

what i am wondering is if there is a way to patch this hole, about the size of a screwdriver blade, and fill the coolent for the three hour drive to my house from where i go to school. then replace that line with my tools and a garage

this is the big main coolent line going from the radiator to the engine.

thanks

Not really, but if it's the upper radiator hose as it sounds by your description, just go to AutoZone for one, should be under $10. You'll spend more on coolant topping it off! :)
