Patch a muffler

Hey guys,
This question is actually for my friend. He has a hole in his muffler and its pretty annoying. We were wondering what the best temporary solution would be. I know that there is muffler tape, but i also heard about some other type of patch that actually hardens onto the muffler. Any ideas guys??

I think the best solution is to replace the muffler. They're cheap...The muffler tape works for a short period of time, the other stuff you talk about looks like putty and once hard falls right off it not applied right.
