Passenger and driver seat the same?

Can the cushion and cover from a passenger seat be swapped over to the driver side? My driver seat has seen better days and I want to take a good passenger seat and mount it to the track/recline/power button area.

The switch panel cutout on the door side of the seats will not allow a clean exchange.
