Anyone else get this code? Engine light came on when the wife was driving yesterday. No noticeable drivability issues. Looked it up online and it's something about fuel tank vacuum. Never heard of such a thing.

Car is a 2017 PP with 42k miles. Tune only with 542 plugs and MSD coils. Nothing else (well, a upgraded MAP to run the tune). Anyone get this code and could point me in the right direction to fix the problem? I cleared it but haven't had a chance to drive it to see if it will come back.

P1450 - unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum.

The pcm will close the evap vent valve (normally open valve) and opens the purge valve (normally closed valve) to pull a specific vacuum in the tank monitored by the fuel tank pressure sensor. If there are no leaks in the evap system it should be able to hold that vacuum.

This dtc indicates that the vacuum that was pulled in the evap system was unable to be vented by the vent valve or the purge valve is sticking open pulling vacuum when it should not.

Easy test for you. Start the engine. Disconect the purge valve electronically and from the evap line to the tank. Put your thumb on the fitting on the valve side you disconected and see if it sucks your thumb. If it does the valve is bad.

Thats about the only test I can think of with a scan tool.
