My pbrake was working fine until my front cable started sticking. If I pressed it both tires would lock up. But since my front cable was bad I replaced it with the only one I could find. (Advanced Auto). After Installing it I noticed that the cable was about 1 inch shorter. (Between where it ''clicks" in under the car to where it connects to the left rear cable). So I loosened the adjustment nut all the way up so I could get the cables to connect. It releases all the way now, but when I press it down about 1/3 it locks the left rear. The Right Rear doesnt lock up. I can watch when I push it both left and right caliper levers move freeley and release fully. I just think I am out of adjustment.
Does the adjustment nut on right rear cable adjust the right tightness, compared to the leff tightness (Balance)? Or does the the nut adjust the over all tightness of everything? If so, how do I make the right lock up sooner to be even with the left?
Thank you for your few minutes of time.
