On my 2015 SHO, the black plastic upper passenger outside door trim has come partially loose. Proper removal and repair? Looks like it is held in place with just double-sided adhesive tape. Has anyone ever dealt with the same issue? Suggestions and solutions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your input. That is what I was planning of doing. I did not want to pull the trim out more than it already is, to get a better look for any clips, and or attachment points. From what can see, the trim is only held in place by a strip of two-sided adhesive tape.

I didn't pull it out very much at all. Used a putty knife to get in there. Wasn't even pulled back far enough for my fingers to fit.

I had to remount my driver's side. I used 3M weather strip adhesive (aka, "yellow death").

Did you have the trim piece completely off the car when you remounted it? If so, were there any clips and or specific attachment points visible during your repair? Mine is still on the car, just partially loose at the top left corner. I don't want to damage the trim by attempting to take it completely off to clean the surfaces before applying the adhesive. Right now there is just enough space to place a strip of adhesive tape at the top, half the way down the loose side, and maybe center mass.

I don't recall any clips. ... I'll check the service manual ... it describes the panels as "applique" and none show any fasteners. See items 3 and 4 in the image below.

Thanks for your timely input. Looking at the diagram I don't see any fastening hardware. I believe all Ford did was use two-sided adhesive tape to attach these trim pieces. Thanks again.
