Those days are over unfortunately. The last car I bought from an individual was a 15 year old Honda Civic, and that was 8 years ago.
I found while looking for mine, some dealers are willing to deal on an SHO to move it—most could care less if they sit. That one I drove 200 miles to look at had been sitting for months. I made a very fair offer, and they wouldn’t move barely $500 off asking. It had a bunch of scratches too. I found mine online and made the deal over the phone after they sent a bunch of pics contingent on it being in the condition they said. It was better and looked like a brand new one. You can usually tell by talking to somebody if they’re full of it, and I had a good enough feeling to drive 400 miles. I paid 24500 for a fully loaded 16 with 16000 miles. Good luck finding yours.
