Hey folks,
Mike here.
Joined up to learn as much as I can to get this back to running/driving.
It's an ATX Bondurant SHO (that's ESS AYCH OH in case you're wonderin ;) )
First project is to replace the valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, and get it running.
More info on what it needs will come in subsequent posts.
Hope to learn more!

It's all there just needs to do some preflight maintenance and then we'll see if we can get it runnin. She cranks over strong but it's not firing. Has spark, has fuel, no go though. It'll be a project.

Thanks for posting those, I haven't seen them in years! Looks just like the new black 89 I got on 4/3/89!

I remember the comment about the Sable version, that never happened.

As an aside, a good buddy was on the Product Development Team. The ATX was supposed to be out in 91. But, they had issues. My buddy was driving a test mule around the Proving Ground track in 1990, when the ATX exploded. Took a few more years to get it right!

I wish I could find neat SHO's in my driveway.

Thank you for joining and sharing pictures. Good luck on the project.
Please check out SHOClubofAmerica.com and consider the convention. You can get this car back on the race track where it belongs.

Interesting at the end, it talked about a 220HP Sable the following year. Were they talking about the 3.8 engine and not knowing what HP it would make
It sounded like they intended to have a Sable with the SHO engine. And, knowing the little I knew from my buddy at Ford, with the ATX planned for 1991, it could have been where the ATX would have gone.

They obviously dropped the Sable plan.
