Ok,

So I have a more detailed backstory here:
http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=40907

Titles something like Trans Gone? TThis is beyond weird....

So tonight after work I get it up on jacks so I can get under it and locate the noise as its making a "vibrating" noise while the engine is runing.

The noise seems to be coming from the transmission or more exact the pan that is placed perpendicular to the ground. I am not sure what that pan is but its located driectly below the spark plug coils. The engine and trans pan are below the car and this on is closer to the drivers side wheel.

When on stand I decided to put it in drive with both wheels off the ground. The drivers side wheel just sat there. I noticed the passenger side wheel was cruising along and wouldnt stop. This again is in drive no gas applied and both wheels off the ground.

If I give it gas then the drivers side wheel seems to catch and rotate slowly. It does not rotate no where near the speed of the pass wheel. wehn I let off the gas the drivers side wheel coasts to a stop and thats that.

I also rotated the wheel and the opposite wheel moved in the opposite direction. So that leads me to believe that its not the cv axles.. Or is that incorrect?

Does this sound like anything to anybody?

it sounds like you have an open differential in your transmission

especially if you are the one with the AXODE transmission problem.

That's where the torque converter and main drive chain are. One wheel only moving may simply be the brake dragging a bit more on that side. The key is to feel for "catches" or bumps when turning the wheels opposite. Have someone hold one wheel, then turn the other and try to detect something other than smooth operation. But your "noise" may not be in the transmission part of the trans-axle. That chain, which transfers power from the torque converter to the main body of the tranny, may be shot.
