Is it this piece here? There is a horrific on and off clunk coming from my frontend somewhere when I accelerate and turn but for the life of me I can't find anything broken.

Do I have to remove anything to get a good view of anything broken?

I can't see my motor mounts that well either, how hard are they to check out with the motor in the car?

Sorry for the questions, I finally convinced the wife that we need to keep the SHO with a kid on the way(usually the other way around lol). My DD is a beater Del Sol that only has 2 seats and that=no for a car seat(airbags).

There is a cup under that bushing you see in your pic. That can separate from the sub frame. You should be able to remove that bushing and see if the cup is loose from the sub frame.

for the motor mounts its easy to tell if they are shot. first look on your intake and see if there are any polised places or rub marks. if not then if you have a buddy or your wife jump in and start it and put it in gear and slip the clutch some, forward and reverse. if you dont see too much movement you should be fine.

edit: just put it in gear with your foot on the brake and watch the motor for movement (just seen the atx tranny pan lol you cant really slip your clutch)

Is it just me - or does anyone else see that gap between the front bushing and the subframe ? (that's not suppose to be there)
