Can anyone help me locate where this thing is located? I can't find it. The Chilton's guide says it's on the lower left rear of the motor. Help please.

Thanks

It's probably gonna be easiest to get it from underneith. Jack the car up and slide under it. The oil pressure sendor is on the back side of the engine(towards the firewall) up on your left (if you sild in from the front). It has one wire attached to it that just pulls off. The senor is round, I think I used an adjustable wrench to get it off. It is right above the pan I believe. Hope that helps :thumb:

Found it

Found it and got it replaced. What a pain in the !@#. I don't know if it's different on a SHO with a MTX but with the ATX it's almost impossible. Had to get my wife with her little hands to get it back in for me. The worst part about it is that it didn't fix the problem (Oil light flickering at idle).

Thanks

I didn;t realize you had an ATX, I know things were a lot tighter with my atx vs my mtx.

Even after replacing my rod bearings I would still get the light flickering at idle sometimes after the engine was throughly warmed up.

Went away when I switched to Castrol GTX Hi Mileage 10w30 oil.

Oil

I'll try the castrol. I'm running a 5-30 synthetic in it now (I forget what brand). Think I'll go get an actual gauge today so I can actually see what the numbers are.

do yourself a huge favor and get an oil pressure gauge. I will never own a sho without one again. You should know what the pressure is, low pressure could be a sign of warn rod or main bearings. Dont risk seizing the thing like I did. Install isn't that bad.
