Here are the best pics I can get. Real tight underneath. I hope this helps show what some have asked. While I appreciate all the offers to "take it off my hands" and the grand offer of $500 I think I will pass for now. I have loved this car since I bought and could pay to get it fixed. Just want to know rough cost and options. Especially if any good mechanic in Denver North area that could take it on. :thankyou:

i will give you 350 for it on the 5th of march :thumb:

i live in the littleton area so your not to far away, i would love to come check it out

Looks like it's coming from the oil filter/oil filter mount/oil cooler area. I would check very carefully for rips/holes in the hoses in the area and loose filters. the mount has a tab that is supposed to butt up against a pin on the block; check to make sure it is.

Edit: about the "grand" offer: ba-zing! That was funny. I lol'd a little bit.

Ok so not hijack here but I noticed a little puddle today under mine. Also when the clutch was done 12k ago the rear main seal was done also so and it is not in the front it's right under the Oil Pan. But not sure yet so just let me know of the obvious places to look.

Thanks.

all those hoses by the oil filter run coolant, there are no hoses with oil on the SHO engine that I know of.......

if its leaking by the oil filter, I give u 4 options, lets start from the top of the engine, you gotta treat oil leaks like a volcano, go up until u can't find anymore wet spots, cause you might see a lot of oil on the oil pan, but its just running down and could be from something else... valve cover gasket, this would be the highest thing, then maybe your actual oil filter is leaking/loose... it happens, then your oil cooler could be leaking, try to take the oil filter off, inside is a big nut, see if its tight... if not tighten it, or a gasket could be leaking, i think there is a gasket back there, but I could be wrong...... I work on so many different cars now that I forget about SHO stuff... imagine that

then the actual oil pan could be leaking.. but remeber start from the top and work your way down.... and I'm not saying just cause your valve cover leaks and drains oil all down the engine, that its not possible your oil pan is leaking as well.... but u gotta start somewhere....

if its too nasty for u to comprehend, get a lot of cleaners, brake cleaner, whatever, and hose it down and wipe it clean, then run it until u see oil comming from somewhere.. this might happen instantly, might take a few minutes, might take 15 minutes....

or find a SHO enthusiast around and have him help you out, I'm sure someone would help you out, **** maybe even help you fix it or them just fix it themselves for you, if you were down in Florida I'd help you out.... just gotta find someone in CO with that attitude and kindness...... SHO people are a helping community

lord knows sometimes I need an extra hand or have questions of my own with these cars

In instances where the leak was bad enough to "leave a little puddle", my experience has been the oil pressure sending unit. It will literally pump oil out, down the back side of the block, down the oil pan, and down onto the ground. I've never had a leak from the low oil level sensor, but see where that could leave puddle-sized leaks as well. As don't discount the oil drain plug gasket, I've seen them leak as well . . . .

Thanks, yeah the car has been in my garage since November and it had not moved until today. But it has been running in the garage as I have been working on the motor.

I will know for sure tomorrow if it's Oil or PS Fluid but will jack it up and try and clean any built up Oil on the Pan and so on.:thankyou:

Both the low oil level sensor and oil drain plug gasket are static leaks - that is they leak whether the engine is running or not; whereas the oil pressure sending unit is a active leak (ie. the engine has to be running).

Good to know, it took quite a while to make the small puddle so it might be tough finding that leak. So hopefully I can find it and get it taken care of before it gets too nice out.
