Okay, here's the story.. I'm hoping that someone might be able to give me an idea of where this leak is coming from, cuz I still can't seem to figure it out. I'm going to try wiping down everything again and go for a drive, and then right after look at the engine again.
I have a slow oil leak, which over time will use a bit of the oil, but I usually keep it topped off. My car has a somewhat oily smell to it when running, and as the oil gets older, the odor changes. I'm thinking that the small amount of oil that leaks away is buring off somewhere, but I don't know where. There is usually some oil on the bottom of the pan, but I'm wondering if some isn't dripping on the manifolds. Does this set of symptoms sound familiar? If not I guess it's time to get back under the car again
