I found a local clutch shop that will do the labor to change my clutch for $350 and I am providing all the parts for the change.

I bought the shonut lcutch package with every thing but the oil pan seals.

My question is since they will have to drain the transmission what oil should i buy for them to replace it with.
I have 139,000 miles on the car and am worried about changing the fluid to a synthetic after all this time so should i go with a good quality standard dexron 2 or should i go with a synthetic
every thing on my car is stock and I am replacing my clutch with a stock OEM clutch. any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

There have been a lot of talk about this lately and after hearing the results of everyone else, I am going to use the GM synchromesh in my MTX. You can get it at the GM dealers.

I plan on installing the GM Syncromesh as well - I've seen more people praise this stuff lately than any other tranny fluid out there for our cars.

This will make two GM products on/in my SHO - the rear control arms and the Syncromesh. Kind of scary if you ask me - too many GM parts in my Ford!!! :D

I got much better control arms than stock GM from BMG, lighter too, so technically they are not GM, but aftermarket performance control arms. Really look great, work great. I put a boot on them too, so they look like special thin red shocks and are protected.

I also used GM Syncromesh and can tell you it is a BIG difference. I would stick with GM Syncromesh. I was suprised.

It isn't uncommon for some MTX to experience different results based on what has been put in the tranny previously. Also my brother's CRX did not like it at all but my friends Sidekick did.

If Syncromesh doesn't seem good then try a SDPATT setup and see what that yields.
