I want to paint some parts of my car's gray interior as some have kinda faded or looked "burned" by the sun (mostly door panles and two pieces to the sides of the passenger air bag cover), but I've searched in Google and all I've found is the color name and code for the gray interior of my 94, but I just can't find where to buy this paint/dye from.

Do you guys know where I can get this?

My other option is to buy some Duplicolor dark gray spray cans, color looks good but that would be painting the entire dashboard and don't wanna mess with that.

You want SEM Presidio for the interior of your car. Pretty close match to the OEM Opal Gray (I think is the name).

That's what I used, until I swapped to a black interior.

Makes a huge difference on the tops of those door panels. You can buy it just about anywhere, I got mine from eastwood.com and used a code for free shipping.

The duplicolor paint wont match.

The picture of the sail panel is one of mine....half factory color, half painted. Very close match. I have noticed some variation in color between cans though.

amazing, I thought I was bound to stare at those faded colors... thanks!! :thankyou:

I saw your review in that page and the pic, looks pretty neat.

About how many cans do you think I would need to redo the front door panels, the two small areas beside the passenger airbag, driver's airbag and steering wheel?

The SEM products are awesome. I dyed my 2nd gen console with SEM Color Coat years ago and it still looks new. If the premixed colors don't work for you many commercial automotive paint stores can custom mix SEM products and even put them in a spray can for you. Two cans will do all the parts you are planing to do but I would buy three just because once you start you will find other parts you want to refresh. SEM also make other products that are suitable for leather and flexible vinyl.

Yep, I bought three cans just to have it, but wouldn't have needed that many.

duplicolor gray vinyl paint is very nearly the same color as the gray interior.

There are two different ones now, a dark gray, and a lighter gray. The lid of the can on the lighter gray makes it look close, but mine didn't turn out that way.

Ford also makes interior spray paint. Opal Gray is probably obsolete though, but you still may be able to find it. I bought some obsolete Lt. Titanium (darker shade) interior paint from Josh (SHONut) to paint the dash cover on my 89. Turned out really well; once it dried, it was just a little off from the actual original dash, but very close--about as close as you can get with it being Ford paint.

SEM is a good choice also as stated if you can find the correct color match--which Kevin has already pointed out which one works.
