odometer question

is this possible when i drive 40 miles my odometer says i went 100 miles.I read once in a sho magazine that some sho's made in canada have metic odometers if thats true my 89 sho reads 130,000 could have only 75 g's on it. if anyone has herd of this before let me know , my car has candian markings on the inside of door, and odo spins rather fast so i hope iam right.

IF your readings are in MPH on your speedo and you are going 62.5miles and it shows up as 100 traveled you may have a metric head behind the standard cluster. Easy way to tell is travel one mile if its metric it will show. 1.6. Now if this is the case I would say that someone changed the head and you will never know what the amount of mileage is on your car.

yes i think i have a metric cluster that sounds about right, 1mile driven registers 1.6 miles on odometer so when i bought sho with 100g i had alot less miles on motor and she runs like that too. I read about it in sho registry once.

I don't think that ford would put a metric head in a standard cluster. 99.9% chance someone changed that head and now you really have no idea how many miles are on it.
Your reading are not with kp/h on the outside are they and read up to 220km/h? If they are you just may have a Canadian car.

it has a canadian leaf on inside door were id stickers are. the car wasn't driven for a few years ,back of some shop started right up with new battery and three coats of black wax. did lower have to do upper soon original wires with some oil.I think its factory both odometers i read it once in sho magazine.motor was very clean but iguess ill never really know for sure how many miles.

I guess it could also be a cdn car where someone has just put a MPH cluster over the head too. Its really hard to say. Only way to know is to do some research I guess.
