Could you include a small loop (lanyard attachment) so a small cable could be attached? Like the small loop on the end of your car key fob to attach a key ring. Then this could be attached to the harness or trim panel around the port. So it doesn’t fall and get lost or dealership just takes it or forgets to put it back if they remove it.

Is that the front grill emblem? I would need the ellipse dimensions to make sure it aligns properly.

Maximum build volume is 10” x 6” x 6.7” for in house but I can outsource to pretty much as big as you can imagine. Money is really the only thing that stops print size.[/QUOT
7" is the size of the trunk emblem. No camera. It's 2.8" x 7".

Eehhh, that's kind of a no-no in the drafter world. Once you release a design STL or OBJ into the world, you can not control it at all. Especially with mesh programs becoming so impressive, an STL does not stop design changes anymore. I'm by no means trying to make gobs of money off this design but it is my work and I would like to keep that under my control.

Are you looking to print it yourself? I may slice for you and send a 3drem file or something.

We're doing some Coronavirus relief work at work (won't go into details). Long story short, we need labels printed. The EPS we sent the printer had a jacked up logo. The printer fixed it and sent a PDF back for approval. Our design team tried to get them to send the corrected files back "for our records". The printer resent the PDF.

It's obviously not her first rodeo.

No worries, I get it. Yes, I would print it myself. A sliced file wouldn't work unless you sliced with my settings for my printer. I appreciate it though. I could always model one up. I like the idea, so kudos for that! I'll have to add it to the list of things to print.

I'm moving the conversation to a specific thread, I hate when my threads are hijacked and start going off into things they have no relation to. So I'm starting a thread here. We started speaking of 3D printing custom OBD2 port covers for the SHO platform. The covers are to put on your OBD2 port when taking your car to the dealership. This is a deterrent to a tech plugging in and casually re-flashing a "update" or such that would **** or mess up your tune.

Anyways, here are some examples... View attachment 12414 View attachment 12411 View attachment 12412

Cost breakdown is pretty simple. between my filament and printer power usage and time, it cost about $1.39 to make one. Flat rate padded envelopes from USPS are around $7-8 last I checked.
I currently only have black PLA, black nylon, Blue color change PLA, and clear PLA. I can actually also make them in 3D printed aluminum but that machine is expensive to run so it would cost $100.

I would be interested in one, please advise the cost for black on black SHO raised letters?
Thank you

Sent out a few orders today. I want to thank the guys that sent a little more than $10. With wasted prints (delaminations, print pulls/fails, detail corrections etc) I'll probably make out even haa. I currently have 7 failed prints sitting on my desk... this is the beast of prototyping.

I hope the level of detail is to your liking. As we spoke, I only have a 0.4 nozzle currently. A 0.2 would have made insane detail.

Sure, I wasn’t expecting injection molded plastic. I kinda like the printed line texture when it’s uniform.
