Have a 95 MTX here, and went on rock auto and ordered myself a pair of motorcraft replacement o2 sensors (DY605)

only to find out that supposedly DY606 can be used and is better because it switches faster?

is DY605 the right part or am I better off with the DY606?

I read somehwere that one is manufactured by bosch and the other is TGK... not sure though.

I believe the only difference between the 605 and 606 is the length of the wire. I don't think one "switches" faster than the other.

I thoguht the same too, but after looking at the pictures they appear to be constructed differently. Majority of all parts stores list the 605 for the SHO... but there is mention on the forums of people using 606's.

Just curious if there is any performance gain / improvement.

Both the 605 and 606 were used in the SHO. Most will recommend replacing with the sensor type that you have. The 605 was sourced by NKG (Denso), the 606 by Bosch. Most of the 95 MTXs I have seen came with the 606 Bosch-sourced sensors.

You can buy the Denso 2343002 for considerably less than the Motorcraft 605 and it is the same part. The Denso's are troublefree in my car, and my research indicates Denso O2 sensors are top of the line parts.
