not getting signal to injectors - or from CMP

2 weeks ago she went into hybernation, fuel pressure 45 psi, sparks there, 2nd new CMP on, shot starter fluid in and she sputtered, injectors have +power - but not gettin ground pulse signal when trying to start and CMP has +power but no ground pulse signal comming out when cranking... No odd noises - just quit runnin AND YEP MY PCM'S HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE TOO!!! But might it be something else? (instead of this $300. or so computer that can't even download free ****) your help, as always, is most appreciated! headbang doh [/LIST] shrug headbang doh finger

Since you have confirmed spark, supply power to the injectors, and fuel pressure, there's not much left to test.

Try unplugging the CMP (CID) sensor. If the car still won't start, swap out the computer. Injector timing is controlled by the CMP. If it is absent, the PCM will guess at injector timing (1 out of 3 chance) and the engine can run when you get it right.

The lack of an actual signal from the CMP would be my first concern. A little history would help.

Verify actual ground on the ORG-RED wire at the CMP connector. That is your ignition ground and is needed to generate the CMP/CID signal. Output of the CMP sensor is on both the LT BLU and DK GRN wires. Vbattery should be on the RED-LT GRN wire.
