P.S http://www.holley.com/05120NOS.asp just saw that on the NOS site. it says for use on the 3 and 3.2l taurus SHO on the site and in the manual it says for a GM 2.8l or a ford 3.4l.....

Another Q what does everyone pay per LB for their Nitrous? anyone looked into their own fill station?

-M

how many seconds (or minutes) will it last if it was on continuously? so anyone got an answer for why NOS is safer then the ZEX kit? or is it just opinions? thanks

-Mitch

Should have read the instructions posted in the link you supplied Mitch :p :p :p

N.O.S. said:
Typically, the standard #10 (10 lb.) bottle of nitrous will supply 1 1/2 to 2 minutes of operation at wide-open throttle.

and that's at the kit supplied 70 shot.

2 minutes @ $60 a fill = 50 cents per second to spray...

wandering why a dry setup is suppose to be safer then a wet kit on these motors??, i was always under the impression wet is more for fuel injected and dry is for carbs?? running a dry kit even a 75 or 100 is anyone upgrading the fuel pump or injectors to do this or ?? asking cause i have a zex wet kit from a previous car i was going to put on but not very familiar with these motors so id rather follow what sems to be working for everyone else

 Try wet see how well it works:wave: Let us know how long it lasts...
As stated in a previous post wet shot makes sho's go SHOBOOM. so if you wanna try it go for it:nut: it will take a fair amount of time/money to get the direct port setup installed correctly.

The fuel will fall out of suspension in the manifold(more specifically, the plenums)..This leads to a very lean condition, which is VERY not good.

The dry kits, both ZEX and NOS, bump fuel pressure. Both are adjustable, with different "fuel" jets, but the average bump in fuel pressure for a 55-75 shot is 30-40psi. This all depends on the fuel jet though. When I was running a small fuel jet(.28) fuel pressure was up right around 95psi. IIRC, with my fuel jet right now, .42, my fuel pressure is right around 70-75psi.

A bigger pump is always recomended, but if you know your stock pump is good working order or even better brand new, then you could run about a 55shot on the stock pump. I've heard of guys running bigger shots, around 75, on the stock pump though. However, I don't think I would trust it though. Besides, fuel pumps are not that expensive. Pick up a 155lph and your set. The fuel injectors do not need to be changed as well.
Also, you'll need to run some colder plugs. I run Autolite 3923's on my 80shot, only one step colder but they work for my motor.

no problem, thanks man :thumb: dry works for me, had a dry setup on a 95 Z28 but it came with a inline fuel pump booster that kicked in only when spraying, instead of having to put a new fuel pump in, anyone running like a NOS kit that came with a inline added booster?? id like to do like a 75 shot but not really wanting to have to change pumps though

changing the pump isn't hard at all, and the pumps are relatively cheap, all you need is the pump
you don't need the sender or the strainer

I read that a 75 was fine if you have a newer fuel pump. Mine was put in a year ago and I was planning on going with a 75 shot...now I'm reconsidering?

for a 55 shot a stocker pump would be fine, if you go more then a 55 i would suggest that you upgrade to a 155lph pump, a 75 shot would be close to maxing out your pumps operating pressure

All I've ever heard was that if you had a new stocker a 75 was fine.
I guess if we can get the stock's flow rate we will be able to tell a bit better.
