Hey Guys i just bought a 1997 SHO and I would like to know if there is anyone in the Northeast that I could contact to have the cams welded ASAP, I am from Maine so I really do not know a welder I would trust but could use some help in finding one to do the Job.

I too would encourage you to get in touch with the team at www.nesho.com not only to address your camweld concern, but any additional issues as you ask which you may not yet be familiar with.

Good luck with your "new" car! Hope to see you at a couple meets in '07 :thumb:

Ya but only believe half of it.:nut:

step 1 : go to V8SHO.com and read up as much as you can
step 2 : ask here or the V8SHO.com mailing list for clarification or additional help
step 3 : whatever errors you uncovered in your reading or any new way of doing something, do a write up or ask the info to be appended to old threads. might just help someone else out with the same problem down the road.

I know w/o the help of many I would have given up on this car I love a long time ago. :thumb:

Close, I see it a little differently sometimes, however.

3 - Ask how much fuel the Gen 3 gastank can hold.
4 - Tell everyone you are going to put an electric supercharger on the car and have the camshafts ground.
5 - call a few long standing members an Idiot
6 - Stand back and wait to be chewed into Hamburger....:laugh_ti: ;)

7. Or ask about how you can get the 300 hp Yamaha designed the motor to output!

That's the easy part.

Figuring out which coil is bad is the hard part.....

Do we really want to go through this more than once in a week? :laugh_ti:

More or less my point, Sir.
Newbies tend to get killed and eaten on the V8 list.

some good points, however I would edit it as follows :

5 - get insulted by a few long standing members
6 - do your best to ignore it
7 - stay on list anyway due to occasional useful information
