ok, i seem to be missing oil and coolant in my car every month or two, and im not quite sure where it goes. whenever i drive her hard, i notice a bit of a burnt smell, kinda like burning oil. and if it was for long enough, i notice a few puffs of smoke come from the passenger side front wheel well. which im assuming is something to do with the cat. i have an electronic autometer oil pressure gauge installed, and once the car is completely warmed up (somewhere near the l in normal), it ususally sits at about halfway between 0 and 25 on the gauge, and at higher revvs goes up to maybe 40 or 50 i think. i was thinking that maybe i have a head gasket problem, since coolant seems to wanna dissapear too, unless tahts completely unrelated and i have a problem in my coolant line. either that or a seal somewhere on the engine near the rear cat perhaps?

That sounds about right.Normal pressure is 13psi for a new motor,or 10 psi on the very low side.Usually they run in the middle. The center line is 12.5psi,so you`re good.Mine sits just at the left of the line,i figure 11.5-12psi.

I would venture to guess the following:

The oil is leaking out of either the front main, the rear valve cover gasket, or the oil level sensor (or a combination) and is being burnt off by the passenger side CAT.

Unless you have had the 60K done recently (which I would guess no, since the oil leaks), the coolant is leaking from the water pump, but could also be from the radiator side tanks. If it is the water pump, your CPS will go soon.

the CPS going is the last thing i need. i had that replaced when i first got the car about 2 years ago, and it wasnt fun. but a 60k is in order, so i might as well change it when im in there to be safe.
