Noisy steering wheel.

My steering wheel just developed some nasty squeaking and creaking. What's up with that? Anyways, would like to hear from some people who have BTDT.

Possibly a clockspring, or the column has crapped out. I'd pull the steering wheel and check the clockspring.

Is the clockspring repairable (as in oil it or something

) or is it something that's going to need replacing?

Going to need to replace it if it's gone bad. Fairly cheap IIRC. (considering this is your problem)
