Hello,

Is there any performance gain from replacing the noisemaker with an aftermarket one?

Thanks,

less common to find but im fairly sure did not have the noise maker in the pipe is the MKS, not sure if the explorers have the same angles but i dont think they have the noisemaker either. no performance gains but it does eliminate a fail point for boost leaks. could also cap it with this Dorman Expansion Plug 02602

The stock ones are prone to leak after awhile. I would get the MKS pipe honestly, or buy the Eco Power Parts one.
