Brought the car to the dealership with only 35,500 miles and they think it's my 2 front wheel bearings. Ordered the parts and I'll let you know if it fixes it. If so, not impressed with the reliability of the wheel bearings.

I was thinking that the wheel brgs may have been retorqued after a spring install and if not done properly can cause damage/wear issues. However I did have both rear wheel brgs done on my 2010 edge with about 11k on the odometer, so Fords wheel brg life isn't all that great.

Spoke to one of the mechanics today and they said it's not uncommon on original bearings that ford uses before. They barely have any grease in there. Supposedly the replacements are much better. Guess in the F-150 it's a common issue. I'm anxious to see what it is.

I also notice a humming noise, mainly around 55-65. It gets louder and and then more quiet, more like a periodic resonance, low frequency. I don't think turning effects it much, and I can't really hear it at low speeds and some road surfaces at higher speed (so can always replicate it). I rotated the tires to no effect. I think I might feel the resonance slightly in the floor also. I don't hear any grinding... 2010 taurus sho, ~36k miles.

I have the ford esp plan, but was worried that they might not be able to replicate the issue (and I would be out my deductible), or it might be tire noise still somehow.
Does this sound similar to your issue?

Similar. It does change a bit, not much, when turning back and forth while driving at about 50.

Turns out it was the 2 front wheel bearings. Car is fixed and nice and quiet. Not too impressed that the bearings needed to be replaced so soon though. My 97 sho I just sold had 168,000 miles with original wheel bearings. The car only weighed like 3650 though. lol
