no tach output

i got the codes checked for my baby. it was a super code reader so it told me what was wrong in english. the o2 sensors were dead, so was the egr. and it also said that there was no tach output. anyone know what that means?

If it helps at all, the tach signal that is sent into the car's cluster comes from the DIS module on the left side of the intake by the CPS. Follow is and see if maybe the wire is cut or something of that matter, you could follow it both ways, to the DIS and from the DIS.

I am no expert on these CE lights but that is the first place I would look. The way I always look at thigs is start small then work your way up to big, so you dont make more work for yourself than necessary.

the tachometer seems to be working fine for me, and the car is running like normal, except when i start the car. it fires up and the tach jumps to around 1200 rpm, then sort of springs down to 300 rpm then up to normal. its not the motor because the motor doesnt follow the rpm the tach is showing. the bright CE light is really annoying on dark roads in northern jersey
