no power steering........

last night i was driving down the highway and i lost my power steering on my 90 sho. so i pulled over and it seemed to be leaking on the drivers side of the rack. so i pulled the tire and the clamp from the boot coming out of the rack was off , it seemed that my leak was coming for the line going into the boot. i put a hose clamp on the boot. i had power steering for a little while but then i lost it again. where should i start in trying to fix this problem. im not too familular whith the steering on these vehicles.... could it be the pump, rack, or something else???? thanks

How much fluid is in the reservoir? And is it still leaking?

there is a little in it but not much. if i put more in it leaks out even though boot is still on.......

If you haven't found it out yey, that would be a blown rack seal - you need a new rack. Just went through it a couple weeks ago - right about the same time as your original post, coincidentally.

how much fo a pain was it to install a new rack??? then a couple weeks after my PS problem my head gasket went. so im not gonna put anymore $ into it so im selling it for like $800
