Have everything almost complete on 93 mtx.

Took it out for a drive last night after getting the used computer (thanks sho-ripper ) put in. Car runs great in lower RPM range, as soon as it hits roughly 4.5 k. car falls on its nose and starts sputtering. I do not hear the secondaries opening. Any idea what could be the problem ?

vacuum ? a solenoid ? Any answers would be appreciated, and if you have pictures of suspect failed part, that would even be better :)

Thanks for all your help guys.

Did the car run properly before? If so go back over everything you did. If the car wasn't running properly before check all your vacuume lines and that all the bolts that hold the intake on are torqued to spec. Make sure you check the lines on the firewall side of the intake.

Just out of curiosity, what does the exhaust sound like? Do you get any hissing noises from it? If the cats happened to be clogged it can cause a lot of power issues.

Catless Y pipe on the car.

Ok, heres the story, I bought the car 18 months ago for $900.00
Countless hundreds of dolaars later I am at present.

When I bought the car it had no low end power but the secondaries worked,

lets see here: new water pump, cps, timing belt, crank seal, throttle position sensor, baro sensor. I know I am forgetting alot, after all this was done approx 9 months ago the car no power high or low rpm and ses light came on 10 seconds after starting. I t was tracked down to the PCM. Now that its replaced, low end is there, no CEL but still no high end power.

Again, I am guessing, but I do not hear the secondaries opening at all.

I am so tired of this car, I want to stick a match to it. At this point I just want to get it running close to correct so I can get rid of it.

I dont want to take it back to the dealership AGAIN :bonk:

If anyone has had a similar prob, please let me know

EDIT: Checked all the wiring and vac lines, everything appears to be normal...
God, i want this thing to be fixed, any info please please PLEASE?

Have you checked the vacuum routing to the secondaries? It sounds like they just aren't opening - a simple thing to fix.
