First off, From what ive been reading the Zex dry kit is the best around... However, How does it make sure that you dont run too lean, ect... From what i can see it requires tapping into the FPR vac line... I proposed the idea of spraying to 2 of my friends and they thought it was dumb and "cheating"

So I decided to just go ahead with a kit and hide it so they dont see it at all.

Wheres the best place to hide a 10lb bottle... and will it be hard to run all the lines discreetly...

Where should I put the jet?? I was thinking of running up through the fender, into the airbox and up past the MAF but that would require me making a hole in my filter.... I need Ideas where to mount the jet

How safe is a 55 shot or maybe even a 75??

Im looking for something to give me a little extra power now and then, and this seems like a good idea to me!!

Any help is appreciated!!

Yes, the NMU has a line that runs to the FPR. It ups the Fuel Pressure when the nitrous is activated. IIRC to something like 70psi.

I dont see that you have upgraded your FP, so a 155lph would be a good start. However, i have seen people run a 55shot on the stocker. 75 is pushing it, and if you do indeed go to a 75, your clutch may need some attention too.

Also, your going to need to run colder plugs.

A search will yeild countless threads on the Zex kit... search for ZEX....

Hiding the 10lb bottle... well thats going to be hard... your best bet would be to get a sports bag(duffle?) and put the bottle inside, and say its just your basketball stuff.. throw some clothes over in it...
or you could get a 5lb bottle, and mount it (the right way) hanging from the rear deck. But tucked up enoguh so that you cant see it if you pop the trunk. OR even modify the rear sub box and have it sit inside... :naughty: that might work... only problem is you will have to fill the bottle more often.. if you use it alot. thats what i would do, if i was trying to hide it.

my last mtx sho ran a 100hp zex dry and loved it. Very fast, never had a single problem with it. I also had a 190lph pump and fresh cooper plugs.

If you do it just mount the NMU in the bottom of the stock airbox and run the vac lines up under the radiator cover. I ran the nozzle line INSIDE the intake tubing. Nothing was visable.

p.s. I also hid the bottle in a dufflebag in the backseat and wrapped it in gym clothes. Genious idea.

Tyler G's SHO had stuff pretty well hidden. His NMU was visible, but at the time, most people didn't know what it was. He had his bottle in the spare tire well, with a full size spare cover over it. His nitrous activation was wired to the rear defrost switch (because you're not supposed to use rear defrost with tinted windows) and his purge was the radio station switch or whatever is on the console for Gen II cars (my car is an 89), and his aftermarket stereo didn't support that switch.

I thought it was pretty cool.

Im not as furtunate as you to run a stock clutch with a 75 shot... :squint:

I might get the kit, and burn this clutch... that way it gives me an "excuse" to buy a new clutch.

Why would you need to hide it?

With a good tranny and proper tuning (our SCT programming), it should do OK.
