Ok here it is, I have recently gained posession of a 94 MTX SHO. Was my mothers car, it has 127,000 miles and runs strong, however it is in need of service. I am getting ready to do the 120K service, and have a few questions. I am looking to do the service myself, as I am a mechanic, but where do I find the parts? like the shims. and is there a detailed list of what all I have to replace? I know that I will be able to do this service in a day if I have everything I need.... or am I dreaming? Last question, what is this convention all about, should I bring my SHO?? and is it worth it??

Various people on the forum here (Bill comes to mind) rent out valve shim kits...the tools to remove and replace the valve shims as well as a selection of shims in which you only purchase the ones you use I believe.

The convention is when everyone across the USA (and some canadians I think) meet in a city with their SHO's to hang out, race, tune, whatever for like 4-5 days.

This should help get you started. :thumb:
