haha i was looking at it today and it didnt want to stay running, it needed starter fluid to get it running and when you hit the gas it would just bog down and eventually die, how much are you willing to sell it for?

that should be a good start... for me that site is my bible it leads to every bit of information about SHOs if it doesnt have it on there it will lead you to another page that can find it. Check to see if the 60k's have been performed, usually if they have, it is an SHO that is well taken care of... if you buy from a guy that after you test drive it says "sure is a fast car hey?!" - dont buy it... i hope someone learns from my mistake... (2 weeks and a blown clutch and DIFF pin)

WI SHOwner here too!

These are nice cars as long as they were taken care of. I have a first gen. I got it for free in Dec. I dumped about $800 in parts into it in the past 6 months. Luckily I had a lot of the original parts to save me some $$. I probably would have spent near $2K at a garage for all the work that I did to it. If the scheduled maintenance was done, its a GREAT car for about $1K - $1.5K!
Every 60K, it needs quite a bit of work. Compared to what I'm used to with my other cars. In my opinion, its pretty difficult to work on compared to GM and chrysler stuff. But I may think that because this is the first time I've ever worked on front wheel drive stuff or ford's stuff.
Now that I have all the work done, its a great car that's fun to drive. I got it to keep my trans am in the garage for rain and snow. The nice thing is, the SHO is almost as fun as the TA to drive. Good luck!

Same basic issues as the Gen II. They are a bit older so more parts will need replacing. 89s are unique, and for that reason I like them, but if you want comfort and better interior quality I would go with 90-91.
