Hello Ladies and Gentleman! Bought my first SHO in April, a 2011 Tux Black with the 401A package. So far I love it! I joined up here to get more info on mods and things of that nature. Most specifically a tune by Livernois. First time down the track she ran a 14.1 @ 101 mph. Since then I've been hooked. Only minor upgrades to this point- tint, and an airaid CAI, which I'm extremely impressed with! I've also got a 09 Pontiac G8 GT, so it's fun to compare the two. I'll post pics shortly, looking forward to hear from you all. :thankyou:

I have been on this forum a few months and I have enjoyed every minute. Laughed alot to how the members joke with each other. Any question you might have, someone on here will have an answer. Looking for new parts for your sho, check out the classifieds. Welcome to the best forum you can find. Bryan

G8 is more of a raw power. Kinda fun to turn off the TCS and smoke the rear tires. It's a little bit faster stock (I think) but the SHO beats it in every other category to be honest. I live in northern Ohio so the G8 is totally outta the question come snow season.

G8 also way rougher of a ride. I think it's due to how low it really sits, I feel like I'm literally having to climb in it. Oh, and it's much, much louder than the SHO.

One thing that I can say is that the engine is definitely the best part of the G8. It's typical GM after that. I've had a few electrical problems with the G8, and I feel like there is always a warning light on every other week. It's only got 50k miles on it too. As much fun as it is to drive, its a pain to maintain. The SHO has converted me to the Ford side of things. Just seems like a much better put together car from the little details on up. I'm going to try and get both to the track together this spring and see who wins.
