Welcome to the SHO!

Y-pipe is your best bet! It frees up power left and right and gives it a Raspy sound. As for the Glasspacks, go with them. Talk to Zach44102, he is running them and they sound fantastic!

Alot of people will tell you the stock airbox on the SHO is your best bet to stick with. Best thing there is a Drop in K&N filter.

Do your regular Maintenance, and treat her with some TLC and she will take care of you!

For the Y-Pipe you can go to your local muffler shop with a Mandrel Bender and have one made, or you can go to SHOSource and support a Forum SHO Vendor>>>CLICK HERE<<<...

Not true for an ATX. The stock MTX y-pipe has a nasty 90 degree bend at one of the cats, which is why aftermarket pipes will yield a decent power gain. Stock ATX y-pipes do not have this bend, and therefore the gains aren't nearly as big as they are for an MTX.

The Catco pipe is a stock replacement, so you're not going to gain anything unless there is a restriction in your stock pipe [e.g. clogged cat(s)]. I'm not aware of any Walker y-pipe. To my knowledge they only sell a cat-back. I think your only option for a performance y-pipe would be to have one custom made. SHO Source tried to get a group buy going, but there was not enough interest.

Dump the Cone Filter and got back to the stock Airbox, It works WAY better then that filter drawing in hot air from the engine bay. I promise you that you have not gained any horsepower by doing that. If anything you've lose some. The Stock AirBox is a Cold Air Intake from the factory and has proven to work VERY VERY well.

As stated, Aftermarket Y-Pipes on the ATX don't have the same effect that they do on the MTX's, as stock ATX Y-Pipes don't have that harsh 90* bend from the factory.

If I owned a ATX, I would save for a high end transmission rebuild, Throw some bolt on's at it (UDP, BBB, Ported and Polished Intake, 80mm MAF) and a small shot of Nitrous. Only after I upgraded the springs, struts and brakes first however.
