Ortiz Performance Sales
Hey guys, figured I'd made a formal introduction post for those who don't yet know me. I've been a member here for a long time but haven't been very active, mostly on the 100 different Facebook groups so some of you may know me from there.
I'm Lee Ament, 32, and like a good beer and a nice walk on the beach...
I'm the sales and marketing director for Ortiz Performance, specializing in late model Ford and EcoBoost tuning since 2007. I came from the Mustang world, buying my first Mustang for the business in 2007, a 2001 V6 which I cammed, supercharged, and made about 330hp with. When the 5.0L Mustang made its return in 2011, all it took was a test drive to get me hooked. Brought on home that day, stripped and sold the V6 to fund the mods and it took off from there. Fast forward to 2017 with a 430hp Mustang, I ended up losing it in an accident when someone pulled out in front of me in the rain. Insurance covered it (accident forgiveness!) and I was able to negotiate way more than the car was worth and also got to remove all aftermarket parts, which allowed me to pay cash on my 2013 Taurus SHO PP 402A. I missed the Mustang, but having 2 kids and a wife, the SHO was much more practical.
Luis Ortiz and I got to work on the SHO, learning the ins and outs of tuning, applying several concepts learned from the Mustang tuning world, and believe we have a world class platform that we are taking to new heights combined with the many new components that have been released in recent years.
Currently running the EPP Dual Intake and Hot Pipes Kit, Gearhead Intercooler, BBK Throttle Body, Stainless Works downpipes w/ stock catback, H&R Super Sport Lowering Springs, DiCunzolo Gen 2 Torque Mounts, MMD Zeven 20x8.5" wheels in gloss black with General GMax RS 245/45/20 tires, and an E-blend tune from Ortiz Performance. Previous personal best was 12.89 @ 107 with just the Airaid and 91 fuel. Dragy has me running 12.35s spinning through the 60', so hoping with good track prep we can see 11s full weight but not afraid to pull the seats for a glory run.
