I've always loved Wheelskins leather wheel wraps, nice leather, thicker wheel rim, and I happen to think they look pretty cool.

Got one for my parents Odyssey a few years ago:

When I got my green car I got one for that as well:

Now I just put one on for the blue car, but I might have gone a bit too far this time. The first 2 are both understated and doesn't realy stand out, but this one I tried to have it match the car's colour and now I'm thinking it's a tad too bright...

The pics didn't come out good, the blue is actually a bit darker, like this one I found before I based my order on:

But ya, there's no way I'm taking it off (putting it on is a huge PITA, totally kills your hand). I like it, just not as much as I thought or as much as I like the other two.

Thoughts?

Yeah I would say that the blue is a little much.

I just got and installed one but it was grey to match and I think it looks good.

Not a fan of the color combo, but I've never been a fan of the tan interior anyway. IMHO, it would've looked better black and blue instead of the tan and blue. :)

But definately Wheelskins FTW!!

yeah I liek the skins, the thicker wheel is nice, but i agree the blue is a little to much. not horrible but I think black would be nicer. I hav the black on my car and I love it:thumb:

Ya, Wheelskins are definetly an awesome product, highly recommanded. I did notice they stop showing the baseball stitch in their instruction booklet though, not sure why. I like the baseball style stitching way more than the loop style they recommand now.

Here's a few more pics. These show what the blue actually look like more so than the first ones, matches Moonlight blue fairly well. My camera didn't like catching the blue durking dusk I guess.

Totally agree, the black and blue in that Escape looks really good.

well I'm not a huge fan of Tan anything inside the car ( i have tan in my 3rd gen) but if you would have gone with a black and blue skin I don't think it would have look as good. the blue and tan looks good only because it matches the car. I really like it alot... I just checked the skins website and wont be able to get one for my car once it's painted cuz nothing will match :frown:

What are you planning to do with your interior after? Nothing from them will match?

I didn't mean I want a black and blue wrap now, that would totally clash with the car :p , I just meant if I had a black interior a black and blue wrap would look spiffy.

For the record, the Oak colour best match the gen II Mocha interior, I have a Sand coloured wrap in the green car and it's slight lighter, the Oak is a very slightly darker, you don't notice it in real life.

did you guys rip off the old leather on the steering wheel first, or go right over it. Also what size did you order. Thanks.

I really want to do something with the interior, I would love to go all black but I think that's impossible, but the out side of the car is going to be black and Lime Gold ( new mustang color) the tan interior really wont look all that great. I don't know where to start with it but I'm open to suggestions. as for the wheel skin's nothing goes with the Lime Gold and unless I get rid of the tan somehow I really wouldn't wanna put a black cover on my steering wheel if I'm keeping the tan inside.

i don't think it looks bad at all. it's just outta place now. if it were me, i'd start changing more interior parts to blue to match the skin like your "sho" dash emblem. maybe the shift **** and some of the smaller bezels or the power window switch panels, etc. and i do agree that the baseball stitch is way better than all the other ones - looks alot neater and tighter.

Thanks! The blue is growing on me, actually looks better in person than in pics, as opposed to both of the cars where they look way better in pics than in person lol.

I'm not going to paint anything else blue in the interior, maybe a shift **** eventually. I do plan on getting some gauge face with blue background and theres a chance on Katzkins seats with blue insert. Not sure yet, kinda would be a shame to get rid of the seats in the car now.
