Hi all,

I'm new to owning a SHO, but I love how the community is for this car!

I'm not very Mechanical, I'm talkin the most I've done to any car is change a Brake Caliper and pads, and I don't feel really comfortable messin with the engine or anything like like, but I'd like to learn.

My '95 SHO didn't come with any type of Owners Manual (Who needs those anyways!) and of course theirs no Hanes Manual for it.

But, to get to the point:

Is their any website that has the factory specs and things (Std. Tire Pressure, How much Oil to use when you change it, etc.)?

And my current problem:
Bought the car from a Used-Car dealership, ran like a champ, touch the gas and it was gone! (That was 3-4 Weeks ago) Just recently, I got on it , The RPM's would go to 6k+ but wouldn't shift, If I let off the gas it does then I can go a bit faster. I had a uncle who's a Mechanic check it out, he didn't have much time, but did test drive it, he said it's not the Transmission, and possibly something to do with the timing. It runs fine in non-performance driving. Has anyone had this issue?

Sorry if theirs something I'm missing, but I'm a Noob to this type of stuff. :)

ATX or MTX? Reason I ask is, in the ATX at full throttle, the engine will wind out to 6700 RPM before the transmission shifts. So your uncle would be correct in assuming that it isn't the trans because that's normal. Naturally in an ATX, the trans will automatically upshift upon release of the throttle.

Yep, like what was said above. I'm assuming it's an ATX (automatic) because you said when you let off the gas, it shifts into the next gear, which is normal. I'd be suspect of any WOT (foot to the floor) shifting beyond 7K, unless it's been chipped. Good luck! :thumb:
