Got these bad boys put in today! Had two of our mechanics do the work at their shop. Also got SFC's put in that i bought off a former SHO owner in the area.

Drove the car home (no plates or validation sticker. had the plates from my malibu so i wasnt able to spend quality time with the car lol) and it was pretty bumpy. It's a pretty stiff ride and you feel almost everything. The road i was driving on is in an industrial area it its pretty bumpy. I'm sure it will feel fine on city streets. Hope to get the alignment done sometime this week at work. Licencing office wont be open tomorrow so i have to wait until tuesday at the earliest to get plates/sticker to be able to drive it in to work.

It needs mufflers and brakes before it can pass the safety/emissions testing. I'm not sure if i'll do that soon or wait until the spring time. We'll see i guess. Going away for the weekend with the gf so theres money spent. Depending on how much cash i've got kicking around and if theres any snow on the ground, i might do brakes/mufflers before it goes into storage. Planning on doing the '96 brake upgrade since i'm pretty ******* brakes. The extra stopping power would be lovely too, lol

I gotta get a nice side picture thats level. To me, the rear seems the same height as before. The front looks lower than before.

The right front spring that was taken out, was missing like 2 inches. It was pretty obvious it broke a very long time ago lol It broke near the bottom, where the spring sits on that piece of rubber that is ontop of the perch on the strut.

Cant wait to do some spirited driving to test this thing out. Car needs a break in period though. The old lady before me probably never had it over 3K RPM. I know the car was bought brand new by another lady. So im getting the impression that this car doesnt know what its capable of. Or at least what it use to be capable of lol

I'll post my opinion of how it rides once i get it plated and on the road for a few days. the original ride was pretty comfy, very different from what it is now.

Any further updates?

Has anyone else tried these?

What's the warranty? Besides assembly, why would I want to spend well over twice what I can get a set of Konis for? How did they decide on the damping rates that they are using?

We have 2 sets out there currently. Both seem to be doing good.

They require no assembly. Its another option out there.

They set it at a percentage from stock.

Pricey as H**L though.... You can get 2 sets of Koni's for that price ( provided you have the housings..easy j/y trip..)
I understand/realize their a 'bolt-on and go' deal but still.......

Helen Keller is more articulate. :)

I see on the website that it's about 60% firmer than stock, but do you know what the rates are? It would be nice to have something to compare to the variable rate of the Koni's, etc.

Also, what is the warranty on these? That wasn't addressed.

IMHO, I think we may run into issues with cars such as demonstrated in this thread, with worn out stock stuff, as compared to the Selex struts. I mean, sure it feels firmer, but how does it compare to Koni's, Tokico's, Sensatracs, etc.?

I don't have the rates for the other struts do you? If you have them that would help. I have percentages and thats about it.

As far as comparing them to other struts we don't have the resources for that. If you want to buy a set and test them go for it!

As far as warranty, Ill find out.

Ok, so dont you think before you started jabbering about these, you coulda posted it up?

I'll take the pwn. I'm ok with that. But jesus christ, you're selling this stuff and have no information on it, and when people ask, you gotta go searching for it. This is all stuff I think I would have on hand.

Thanks.

Oh, BTW, please dont take this the wrong way. Just trying to help.
