I am replacing all my brakes very soon with SS lines and hawk pads all around. I already have the 96 upgrade with motorcraft shit pads, the main reason why I am changing them. My question is do I need new rotors with the pads? The rotors are still quite new, but will the previous pads affect the bedding of the new pads?

aslong as the rotors are not groved or have any hot spots you will be fine reusing them. if they are all you will need to do is have them cut

Does it pulses when you brake? And are they rusted where the pad sits? If not then you dont need rotors (unless they are paper thin)

If yes , then you have warped rotors , its a matter of replacing or turning them depending on whats cheaper. I recommand to turn rotors (on a lathe in your local auto shop) only once in their life. Once you turned them - next time it goes in the garbage.

^^ Agreed. And you can turn a rotor more than once but some don't like to.

When I have them cleaned up for pads, very little material comes off. I've gotten at least 3 cleanups before they are out-of-spec.

And I go through pads very quickly!!

You could always hit it with a DA sander with 400 grit.
Thats usually what I do when changing pads.

Or a piece of 2x4" with emery paper on it.

Easier to drive 1/2-mile up the street, and have them do a true cleanup in no timke.

O'Reilly Auto Parts turns drums and rotors for $10 a piece. New rotors are $20-25 a piece I think, I'll have to check next time I'm at work.
