Hey. I just bought a 2015 Taurus SHO. Been doing some research and keep finding myself reading threads here. Decided to make an account. Well turns out my old account was still active. Back from 2004-2008ish I owned a 96 Taurus SHO. My last post here was in 2006. That's quite a long time to have an account remain on a forum. Glad you guys kept this place alive.
When the SHO came back I said "I'll get one eventually". The time has come.
2015 with 85k miles. Started life as a lease and then had two other owners. So when I first checked it out I was wondering why it seemed more sinister than others I've seen. Later that night I kept staring at the dealer pics and started comparing them with lowered cars. The next day I went to sign papers and took a look in the tight wheel well. Noticed a blue spring. Went to the back to look under and saw another blue spring with a part number. As I predicted, somewhere along the line one of its owners installed H&R sport springs. So less for me to spend on parts and time to install.
After I put some miles on it I'll get into tuning and bolt on parts but for now I'll enjoy it as it is. I know it's a big change from the V8 SHO. Since then I've also owned a couple supercharged Grand Prix GTP's. I definitely enjoy a quick sedan.
Actually my first change will be black vinyl chrome delete on the window frames.
