Hey all, I did a search, and the only thing that came up that resembles my issue was a question posted on a thread about a cv halfshaft and/or control arm being replaced. Since I couldn't find an answer, I started a new thread...

Anyways, I changed my oil this past Saturday, used Mobil 1 5-30 like I usually do, and I changed oil filters, went from Fram to Wix.

Car ran fine, no problems until yesterday. I started it up yesterday to leave work, and I noticed a slight vibration. Revved slightly to about 2-2.5k rpm and the entire car began vibrating until it dropped back to idle. Did the same thing clutch in, neutral; clutch out, neutral; clutch in, first, second, third, etc.; all with and then without a/c. This was all while stopped. I can slightly feel the vibration while moving; however, it's not necessarily as noticeable.

my 92 has reinforced front/rear motor mounts, Al subframe bushings, and sfcs.

Before anyone says "it's going to vibrate when you put those on," I've had all of the above on the car for well over a year; these vibrations experienced yesterday (and today) are very new, and not of the regular variety. I've also noticed that the tranny mount has a slight (about .5") tear in the rubber on the outside of the mount. My inclination is this mount, but I was wondering if you guys had any other items to check.

TIA,

James

[EDIT: with reinforced mounts, would a bad transmission mount (probably stock) still be able to create a vibration in the car?]

My car is doing the exact same thing. Happened after a harsh accidental down shift. I need to check my trans mount it maybe broken.

sounds like you have a new imbalance in the engine. Could be the pressure plate, could be the damper pulley, could be another pulley.
