New PVD Coated Black Chrome (OEM) Wheels

I just picked up a set of PVD Coated Black Chrome wheels from a supplier in Michigan. These are the same style wheels that came with the car. I still have my old set on-hand (Performance Package silver 20"x8"); they are up on eBay right now for $1075.

My SHO is a 2012 PP. Only other mods are a K&N (which is amazing, despite the naysayers), front tint, 2013+ side marker ornaments, and LED license plate lights. Next project is color-matching the front upper grill and LED light bezels.

Also, my taillights are chipping, if anyone knows of a good alternative - please let me know. Couldn't find anything aftermarket for this vehicle and a 2013+ conversion is not practical.

The PVD wheels look amazing! As far as the tail lights, do a search for threads on this issue. Basically, you can plastidip the trim or use "chrome" paint or replace the assemblies entirely with SEL (?) trim level non-chrome assemblies.

Would be the SE lights from 2010-2012. I plastidipped mine 3 years ago. Great stuff. Followed the directions, took about 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon and has lasted through about 40 car washes per year since as well as NJ winters and summers.

Car looks terrific!! I really like the color of those wheels. I've seen these advertised on eBay, etc... I may be looking into this a little further now!

I emailed Bryan Orr and Detroit Wheel and Tire for a price quote for an exchange for four of them and never heard back. I also left him a voicemail. SHO T1M3 do you have any idea how much they'll be for exchange?

I also wonder how they'll hold up with Illinois Winters, etc.

I did a wheel exchange for PVD in bright chrome finish. I don't recall if I used Detroit or not, I'll have to check my records. But with the exchange it ran about $1100. That was a couple of years ago and they've held up to Iowa winter pretty well. I do tend to wash my car at least every couple of weeks in the winter and I use Collinite 845 on the wheels to protect them from the salt and spray.

That was easier than I thought. I used US Wheel Exchange and it ran $1195 shipped to my door for 4 wheels and an additional $1000 core charge for my nearly new wheels back in September 2012. Back then I had luck getting e-mail responses from the address [email protected].
