I made this post over on SPP but I thought it would get more replies here. I need new motor mounts and I was looking at the SHOnut extreme mounts. This is a daily driven SHO but I prefer hard driving and putting it through its paces on a daily basis. I guess my question is opinions on different motor mounts people have and what they would recommend.

I have heard it is best to just go ahead and get the Extreme mounts (or any reinforced mount, for that matter) because they are many times stronger and the affect on driveability and NVH is nominal. The durability alone is worth any tradeoffs in NVH, IMO. Not to mention, you don't have to worry about destroying your mounts with a quick shift, either :thumbs_u:

I have the extreme front and rear mounts on my 90 mtx. I really like them. I must say it changes the feel of the car, but in a good way. I'm so used to them now, that when I drive the wife's atx with stock mounts, I swear its like driving a boat.

The shifting with the extreme mounts is smoother, the torque to the ground seems better.

Go with the front and rear extreme mounts. I have them and notice a TINY bit more NVH at idle. The motor will be a tad louder in the cabin, but that is a good thing :D You will be able to feel more power being transferred to the road. They aren't harsh by any means; you won't regret your purchase.
