Hey all I just bought myself a 2013 Ford SHO and I thought I’d see how the community is for this beast! I would love to hear your guys’ builds to get inspiration for mine!

Welcome! I’m pushing 550whp+ and absolutely love it! If you have any questions let me know. Here’s a video I made that talks about the build. If you looking to add some safe reliable power Gearhead Tuning is the way to go.

What your goals for the car?

Just watched the video and it was very informative thank you! I want to tune her down the road but I do not want to tune it to the point where “this could be my last run” because I just don’t have the time or money for that right now lol. What should I start out with if I want to try and push 450hp safely?

Get a safe regular tune, 3 bar map sensor, some plugs. Really a standard noncrazy tune will be the most improvement you will see for the price. You won't see 450 right away you will probably have to build toward it. Baby steps unless you have a fat wallet.

Yeah it’s all about the long run here so I am all for taking baby steps, thank you!

Starting off with tune is the way to go. Intercooler and fuel pump will get you a reliable 450 all day. GHT basically specializes in daily tunes more than record breaking stuff. If you access to e85 then you get even more.

Welcome to the group! Check out the Gen 4 subforum and you'll see lots of different build threads from mild to wild, and it all depends on your budget if you want a basic "tune only" setup that shaves about half a second off your 0-60 and about 0.7 seconds off your 1/4 mile times, or you can go all the way up to like some of the guys here that strip down to their skivvies and run 11.0s in a family sedan.

Personally I would recommend the Ortiz Performance Ecoboost Starter Pack, found here:

We have them in stock ready to ship, along with a plethora of other parts in our Ecoboost Performance Products collection here:

You have lots of options when deciding who to tune with or what products to run, but this forum is a wealth of knowledge that you can utilize to make the right choice for your needs. If you get stuck, post your questions or use the search feature and you'll find what you need pretty quick. Everyone here is good about documenting their experiences both good and bad, so you'll be able to see both sides of the ball for the game.

BTW, good maintenance is key on these cars. Change the PTU and RDU fluid every 30-50k miles, make sure you have good spark plugs, clean both map sensors every oil change, and keep an eye on the coolant levels in the event the water pump starts to go, and with a little luck she'll keep you happy for a long time.

Welcome to the forum. We're the terrific advice from these guys are bar none, but might lead to a rapid emptying of your wallet. My own opinion, the journey to turn these grocery getters into a beast to be recon with is worth every penny. Best of luck on your journey.
