Hey all, Lucas here. Sorry for long post. New member here, I didn’t think these forums existed anymore so here goes. I’ve owned my 93 manual (rod shifter linkage) 3.0 SHO since ‘08 and it’s been sitting for over 7 years now. I’ve put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and money into it. I’ve done the following: front and back strut tower braces (adjustable I believe), H-brace for rear control arm box, aluminum cup-style subframe bushings and frame rails/connectors (not welded on) as well as Eibach lowering springs ALL suspension upgrades were bought from SHOSOURCE 10+ years ago. Car came with fender well style cold air intake, paid $800CAD for it. I got lucky twice cause last three numbers from vin match my b-day I had the trans rebuilt twice when diff pin shot out the sides, has around 15000 kms since rebuild all those years ago. It has rust issues but can be fixed and I would love to do that. Problem is I am moving to west coast British Colombia and was wondering what kind of following there is out west, located near Toronto, Canada now, heard it was better out west. Currently I am talking locally to sell it for parts, not scrap yards. Honestly, I would like to keep it and am considering my options, nothing set in stone but time is an issue. So the question is what kind of help is there out west to keep my one and only on the road (vin number connection makes it that lol)

Welcome! Not sure about Toronto, but Shosource is located in Washington State. Mike mentioned to me before he did work for someone who came down from BC

Yeah, bought parts from them long ago that’s part of the reason I’d like to take my 93 with me. Just wondering if there’s a better following out there than here, I remember there used to be, especially in west coast US. Any advice on whether it’s worth it hauling 5000kms cross country or not is welcome. Thx in advance

There are some people up still on the forum near the border, but I am not sure if they still have their cars. Down near Shosource there are still members who were racing in Lucky Dog track events recently, but with covoid, I haven't heard if they were still racing. I think it will depend on how attached you are to your car. You could take all the performance parts with you and find a rust free west coast car to put the parts on. I've seen some modified cars on craigslist in Vancouver that looked pretty nice.
