So I've had my 2010 SHO for about two years now and have been stalking this forum since. I finally broke down and went with some Livernois upgrades that came in yesterday. Doing the 93 tunes, plugs, map, and thermo. They all go in tomorrow once the block cools off. Pretty pumped to see how it all turns out!

Welcome to SHOforum, Kevin! Long-standing rule of the forum: no pics means endless ragging :D Am sure you will love the upgrades. Be sure to do all the routine maintenance checks as well!

Appreciate it. Yeah I always stay ahead of the maintenance but appreciate the advice. I'm going to do some plasti dip work on the shockingly flaking tailgate trim and take some pics next weekend probably

Welcome to the SHOw...

Great choice on tuning IMO, one of the top 3 for sure.

As a "stalker" of the forum, did you take note of the PTU and it's need for regular changes of fluid?

So what color, features, miles you have on the S-H-O?

So I've been looking at the work for the change for the ptu and I'm going to hold off shortly only because I'm putting a lift in the garage that will make it easier. Good to have it on the radar though

For sure. I have to do the door mods first so the lift fits and the high rise door is otw so we are getting there.

Agreed... it still amazes me how much of a difference a good tune really makes

4 post lift...yup, I just drooled a little bit

Keep the PTU on the need to do list. At just over 30k the "lifetime" fluid in ours was toast.

Low miles, quality color, great tuner...sounds like it'll be a V8 heart breaker.

So I did the plugs map and thermo this morning. Probably took about 45 minutes. That driver side back plug is a bitch but we got there. Fluid loss from the thermo was minimal as I jacked up the driver side. Installed the 4 plus X tune for 93 octane (in houston it's readily available) based on Anthony's suggestion. Took it for a quick drive on the in town and on the interstate and all I can say is wow. Night and day difference. I almost got myself in trouble accelerating out of a left hand turn as the power hit so hard. Very happy I did this and should make those 20 min to work in the morning a lot more enjoyable. Thanks everybody especially the good folks at livernois who have responded quickly to everything (30 min turnaround on getting my tunes) and obviously have put a lot of work into a quality product.

Nice setup Kevin! I'll have to look out for your SHO on the 610 loop...lol. Have the same mods in my 2011 and couldn't be happier with the car. Only ran into one Tuned SHO in Houston since I've had the car in over a year. Good to hear there are more turbo Taurus out there in the Texas heat.

I started a Houston owners thread, please go and post on there so we all can keep up with who all lives in and around Houston. Might come in handy down the road.

I just got mine back from the shop last week and put my tune back on it this morning. I also did the VTA mod. Waiting on my springs to come in now and going to get the windows tinted next week. Next month will be exhaust and down pipes, meth will come after that of course.

Glad to know of at least two modded SHOs in the area!
