Hey everyone. I'm Phil and I have had a Tuxedo Black 2013 SHO for about a year now and I love it. I'm active duty Air Force and have spent a long time in Japan where I had a Toyota Chaser that I really miss. Love having a turbo'd sedan so the the SHO was an obvious choice. Right now my car is completely stock but the brakes are getting ready to go so that is going to be my first upgrade. Haven't chosen an exact setup yet but I will soon. Look forward to learning more about this car from you SHO veterans.

I agree with the performance package oem Ford pads. I have the powerstop pads on my truck and they are good but they will fade under hard braking.

How many miles on your SHO? I would look at some maintenance at this age. Especially driveline fluids. Poke around and see what kind of funk happens with the power transfer unit PTU

I just put it over 71k. I bought it as certified pre owned and have an extended warranty on it. I was going to start looking at the PTU as I also have a 14 Explorer 4wd and have read all about the problems with that. I have found some cancer spots around the pinch welds around the rocker panels that are just surface level that I have been cleaning up. Also both subframes are have a lot of surface rust. looking at getting used ones and having them blasted and powder coated as I can't have my daily driver down for that amount of time.

Go with the PowerStop rotors. Stock rear pads, and stock PP pads up front will give you all the stopping power you need.

I was thinking about the PowerStop kit (rotors, calipers & pads) and then using EBC yellow stuff pads as I have started reading about the PowerStop pads being prone to brake fade

I started to have brake fade with the Power Stops. After bleeding the ABS system with Forscan, that has been eliminated and the bite has come back.
