Hey everyone, I'm glad I came across this sight. A Clean 2013' 2014' Sho set to appear on my horizon soon. The Ford God's have spoken!
Coming off the 09' G37S and 11' Acura TL ive found myself a bit spoiled by speed. 365BHP on a 4Ton car isn't enough. So I'll need your help in my journey to 500+BHP. Which according to research isn't hard nor expensive.
I feel the SHO is the highest sleeper out there. And tho it' was fun getting challenged damn near every night to race in the Infiniti and destroy shit. I am adding a new addition to my family soon and need a Bigger Car without Sacrificing much Speed....ENTER THE SHO!!! I can't wait to get it. By By Coupes by by Maxima and By By TL.
(I will however buy a stock 03 'G35 coupe too, but just for kicks and to remind me of the G37S a little bit)

Welcome!!!! To get to 500 takes a bit of work...

Tune, Meth, DPs, Exhaust, Intake, thermostat, spark plugs, 3BAR Map, and an upgraded suspension to put the power down consistently... then suspension is not a requirement but it does help...


LMS will not get you to 500 unless you dyno tune with upgrade turbos... even then they may not crank it up that high without a built motors. According to them once you get pass 450awhp/tq on the stock motor you are playing with fire...

AJPTurbo has a dyno where he went over 500... BCB has a great following... so does Unleashed tuning...

Damn!! I def have a few things to learn!! For starters the 3Bar MaP! I Didn't think that'd be a key to 500+bhp. I know they come with a 2.5Bar already. Thought that'd be enough. I def look to purchase a tuning kit immediately after the car. The kits ive shopped around for guarantees something near 70BHP. Perhaps 400 will feel suitable. But I plan to play with the fire and go upwards Twds 450.

I don't think you want a 4 ton (8,000 pound) SHO even with 365 hp. lol I would cut that weight in half, it will be much faster. Good luck and post some pics!!

I looked it up for myself. And turns out you're right. SHO comes with 2Bar. I love these cars but again I have a lot to learn about them! Thanks for the correction!

I would look at the time you want to run more than the hp. Dyno numbers don't mean much, but a time slip does. You may also find that 500 hp isn't necessary. A good tune will get you into the mid 12's. That would put it faster than a G37s or TL that had substantial work done.

Dig a little deeper and it will go 11's. Still without getting to the 500 hp level. At that point, I believe you'd be substantially faster than all but custom high end turbo'd TL's.

IMO, the beauty of the SHO/MKS platform is how cheaply and easily they can go 12's. If you have the desire to go faster than say 11.9's and haven't purchased a car yet, there are probably better choices.

There are getting to be less early GENs and more ECO SHOs showing up, but there will still be plenty of the Yamaha SHO's there. I expect 35, but keeping my fingers crossed (and advertising as much as I can) that 50+ 89-99 SHOs will come.

That would be awesome!!!! It's a two day trip for me for sure at 17+ hrs. When you get more information on hotels etc that would be awesome!
